How to brew
Ginseng Five Treasures Tea
Brewing FIVEKINGS Ginseng Five Treasures Tea is simple: place one sachet in your cup, add 300 ml of boiling water, and steep for 5–8 minutes.
That’s your starting point. From there, you can adjust the strength to your taste and brew the same sachet again. Each 10 g bag is intended for multiple steeps, giving you 2–3 cups to enjoy.
Your first cup, step by step
1. Start with one sachet
Place one FIVEKINGS tea sachet in a heat-safe mug or small teapot with enough room for 300 ml of water.
2. Add 300 ml of boiling water
Bring fresh water to a boil and carefully pour 300 ml over the sachet. Measuring the water for your first brew makes it easier to find a strength you like and repeat it next time.
3. Steep for 5–8 minutes
Set a timer for five minutes. Carefully taste a little once it has cooled enough to sip. If you prefer a stronger brew, leave the sachet in for longer, up to eight minutes.
4. Remove the sachet and enjoy
When the tea reaches the strength you enjoy, lift out the sachet. Let your cup cool to a comfortable drinking temperature before taking your first proper sip.
Make the strength your own
For your first brew, try the shorter end of the recommended steeping time. You can let it steep longer, but starting at five minutes gives you a chance to taste before the flavour becomes more concentrated.
If the finished tea tastes too strong, add a little hot water, stir, and taste again. Make small adjustments so you don’t dilute it more than you intended.
Try the tea plain before adding anything. If you prefer a sweeter cup, stir in a small amount of honey. Adding water changes the strength; adding honey changes the sweetness. Choose whichever adjustment your cup needs.
One sachet, more than one cup
Each FIVEKINGS sachet contains 10 g of the herbal blend and can be steeped more than once. Our recommendation is to enjoy 2–3 cups per bag, depending on how strong you like your tea.
To make another cup, add fresh boiling water to the same sachet and allow it to steep again. Taste as it brews rather than expecting the second infusion to be identical to the first. Adjust the steeping time to suit the flavour.
There’s no need to aim for the maximum number of cups. If you enjoy two fuller-flavoured infusions, stop there. If a lighter third cup appeals to you, give it another steep.
Put the kettle on.
One sachet, 300 ml of boiling water, and 5–8 minutes. A few simple steps are all you need to get started. FIVEKINGS Premium Ginseng Five Treasures Tea comes with 20 individually portioned 10 g sachets, ready for your next cup.
